Dr. Sana Syed, M.D.
Dr. Sana Syed is a Board-Certified Pediatrician in Canton, MI,with over 10 years of experience providing quality medical care.Originally from Chicago, she is a proud alumnus of the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor (Go Blue!) and St. George’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Syed completed her Pediatric Residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. After completing her residency in Chicago, she moved back to Michigan to work at a hospital as a general pediatricianand newborn hospitalist.
After years of working as a general pediatrician in the hospital, Dr. Syed decided to follow her lifelong dream of opening Sunny Pediatrics to serve the needs of her community. As a resident of Canton, MI, she has dreamed of becoming “the neighborhood kids’ doctor,” and she strives to provide the highest quality care to her patients and their families. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Syed keeps up to date with new advancements in pediatric care through lectures and attending national conferences.
Dr. Syed likes to spend her free time with her husband, two kids (daughter and son), and her cat Leo. She enjoys playing different versions of “Uno” with her kids, traveling across the country, and trying out new foods.
Dr. Navin Raj, M.D.
Dr. Navin Raj is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician providing care for patients ages newborn and up. Originally from Dubai, UAE, he is a proud Michigander who enjoys winter more than the summer (yes, shorts in the winter!). Dr. Raj brings over 10 years of experience and specializes in family medicine. He completed his residency at Genesys Health System in Grand Blanc, MI. He worked over ten years in family medicine in the Downriver area (Brownstown and Trenton) and enjoyed seeing patients from newborn to geriatrics. He had multi-generational families under his care. He did both inpatient and outpatient care and honed his skills in taking care of the full family unit. In his free time, Dr. Raj enjoys game nights with his family, working out, and taking trips to NYC where he enjoys trying new foods and trekking through Central Park. He is multilingual and speaks Hindi and Malayalam as well.
Through the years, it has been Drs. Sana Syed’s and Navin Raj’s dream to work together in a multi-specialty clinic. They made Canton their first home and wanted to provide that feeling to the residents of Canton as well. They seek to bring the neighborhood feeling to their patients, whom they strive to get to know as family.
